Today The town of Shalimar is filled with Plastic Printing Companies who depend on Mapco for there survival. Shalimar has also grown into a huge commercial area where every single multi-national bank can be found on one street. With the help of Trans Pakistan Highway Also known as the (Grand Triumph Road) which became fully operational once the Border with India was opened. Mapco sought new heights due to our location.

Today Mapco is one of the leading Plastic Packaging Industries in Pakistan and around the world. The Products of Mapco cover from Plastic Blown film extrusion, Injection Moulding, Plastic Packaging Machinery, Plastic Bag Making and more. 

Mapco was established in 1985 as Munir Ashraf Plastic Company (MAPCO); This was a partnership company. In The late 1990's the company was split. The split formed two companies. Mapco Pvt. Ltd. and City PolyPack Inc. The split created one company into two sister companies.

Mapco was established in North America at the turn of the century. In 2010 Mapco Corps headquarters was moved from Lahore, Pakistan to Brampton, Canada.

• Launched a plastic film and bag manufacturing plant in Brampton, Canada in 2010.

• Moved onto the engineering aspect of the industry by founding City Pack and growing it into the most advances plastic extruder manufacturing firm in the country.
